Connect Families with Developmental Support

Some families do not know support exists until someone helps them find it. Outreach helps parents in the Bay Area learn where to begin when their child needs therapy, diagnosis support, or guidance through California’s care system.

About this story

After a diagnosis or developmental concern, parents may not know which office to call, which words to search, or which services may be available in California. For newly arrived Russian-speaking families, this can be even harder. The system is unfamiliar, the language is not always comfortable, and important information often reaches families through word of mouth.

Sunny Nest Learning Hub is being built for Russian-speaking families in the Bay Area who need bilingual guidance around therapy, parent education, and California support systems.

This part of the campaign helps more families learn that support is available. Outreach can help parents hear about Sunny Nest earlier — through local communities, Russian-language information, and family-facing materials that explain where to begin.

What this support covers

This campaign helps make information about Sunny Nest easier for families to find.

  • Support will help provide:
  • Printed and digital outreach materials

  • Local community awareness efforts
  • Outreach to Russian-speaking families in the Bay Area

Goal: $500

Why support is needed now

Support can only help families who know it exists. Outreach helps parents find information earlier, ask better questions, and begin navigating care with more clarity.

  • When a family doesn’t understand the system, support can feel out of reach. Sunny Nest was created to make that first step clearer — for children who need care, and for parents who need guidance in a language they understand.
