Help children access therapy spaces at Sunny Nest

A therapy room is part of a child’s care. Child-sized furniture, safe learning materials, and sensory tools help create a space where children can feel more regulated, focused, and ready to begin.

About this story

For children who need support with communication, sensory regulation, behavior, or early developmental skills, the therapy environment matters.

A room prepared for children is not just an empty space with a table. It needs to feel safe, structured, and calm enough for a child to listen, explore, practice, and build trust with a specialist.

Sunny Nest Learning Hub is being prepared in Northern California as a bilingual English–Russian space for ABA therapy, speech therapy, sensory integration support, childcare, parent education, and help navigating the California support system.

Many Russian-speaking families in the Bay Area need developmental care they can understand — not only for the child, but for parents who need to ask questions, follow recommendations, and take the next steps in their own language.

This campaign supports one practical part of that work: preparing therapy rooms with child-friendly furniture, learning equipment, and sensory materials so children and specialists have the basic setup they need for safe, structured sessions.

  • When a family doesn’t understand the system, support can feel out of reach. Sunny Nest was created to make that first step clearer — for children who need care, and for parents who need guidance in a language they understand.
