Women’s Foundation California is a statewide foundation working to advance racial, economic, environmental, and gender justice. The organization centers the knowledge and leadership of communities most affected by systemic inequities. Through intersectional feminist grantmaking, it directs resources to grassroots organizations building community power and working toward lasting change. Its trust-based approach includes sustained funding for organizations led by and serving historically marginalized communities. The Dr. Beatriz María Solís Policy Institute provides policy advocacy and leadership training for grassroots leaders. The Foundation also brings together advocates, donors, policymakers, academics, and grantmakers to share knowledge and strengthen California’s social justice movement. Through funding, training, and collaboration, Women’s Foundation California helps community leaders influence policies and build healthier, safer, and more equitable communities.
